Here, terrorists, I’m going to let you in on a little secret. If you want to cause a lot of pain (without a lot of physical killing), just take out these buildings:
As Royal Pingdom points out, there are far too many single points of failure for our telecommunications infrastructure in the US. Let’s go city by city and see where they are:
Los Angeles:
As reported by Royal Pingdom, One Wilshire is the place to go cut the wire in LA.

San Francisco:
365 Main is the place to go if you want to bring down Web 2.0 (hey, it’s already happened!).

Chicago:
The Level 3 Chicago data center powers quite a bit of the financial and telecom companies out of Chicago. Located at 111 N Canal Street, Chicago, IL

Seattle:
The easiest place to grab in Seattle is the Westin towers. They’re a landmark, and the hub of fiber in the city. Located at 1900 Fifth Ave.
